  • Osvaldo Rojas , D.M.V.

From where?  Well, yes, Osvaldo comes from Uruguay, a small but friendly country in South America.  He joined the AVH Group in December 2004, soon after his arrival to the U.S.  The small animal field has been his greatest passion since he enrolled in University.  His first working experience in the area goes back to 1997, holding a vet technician position in a regular practice while he was still a student, then as a “Doctor en Medicina Veterinaria” once his degree was obtained.  Osvaldo has a special drive when it comes to Ethnology and Sociology topics, as well as History in general.  To further his studies and to learn more from other cultures he traveled around Europe and lived for six months in the Czech Republic.  By then he took a traineeship at the Small Animal Department of Brno Veterinary University and participated in a research project involving dogs with mammary gland tumors at the Veterinary Research Institute (VUVeL).  Since then two new hobbies enlarge his list of outdoor sports: hiking and skiing (the latter still painful).  One of his goals is to validate his degree and eventually exercise as a veterinarian in the U.S.
